For many, wood flooring is the only way to go! It has a natural beauty with distinctive features, such as those gorgeous undertones, quirky knots, unique swirls, and grain patterns. With such an abundance of stains, you can make the floors lighter, darker or in-between to fit into any decor.

Two versions
We have both solid hardwood flooring and engineered wood floors. They both look similar and add warmth and charm to any room on the surface. The difference is in the construction, which makes engineered a good choice for those who want beauty and practicality.

Engineered’s top layer is a slab of hardwood species, such as maple, walnut, oak, etc., but underneath are three or more layers of wood combined with a bit of resin and placed in a crosswise position. This makes the floor more stable and better able to handle water but, unlike solid, it can be installed in some higher-than-normal areas.

Other benefits include:
1. Long-lasting beauty: Both versions can be sanded and refinished and last for decades, making this product highly cost-effective. There are few, if any, replacement costs.

2. Versatility: A wood floor works with any decor, from traditional to contemporary. Suppose you change your decor and need a color change, no problem! All you have to do is have the floor sanded and stained another hue.

3. Increase real estate value: This is big because, whether you choose solid or engineered, you'll see 70% to 80% of the cost of floors reflected in your property assessment. So a home worth $300K could theoretically become valued at $315K.

4. Easy maintenance: Who says luxury is high maintenance? These floors need daily drop mopping or sweeping with a soft broom to remove dirt and soil. Vacuum once a week and clean/polish every so often. You may want to employ ordinary, everyday things like placing mats at entrances or using protective furniture pads.
